Expunge Record After Deferred Adjudication Probation Completion

I recently successfully completed deferred adjudication probation for Felony charge ''possession controlled substance''. Background check still reveals my charge. Will this go away or is an expunction even an option?

An expunction will never be an option for you. However, a new law beginning September 1st says that in ten years you will be eligible for a Petition For Non-Disclosure. If you get this done in ten years, the court will order the State of Texas to not disclose to any third party vendors like publicdata.com you criminal history.
