Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Expungement of record

I was convicted 15 years ago with $50 worth of methamphetamines, sentenced to five years in the penitentiary, was paroled for 3 years with no trouble. I have since been in no trouble with the law. How do I go about getting this felony expunged from my record?

Re: Expungement of record

You were convicted of a felony. Unfortunately, there is no way that you can expunge a felony conviction. Expunction is usually an option only in cases where you were found not guilty or your case was dismissed. You can look at Texas Code of Criminal Procedure article 55.01 to give you all of the details. But, you would not be elegible for an expunction, based on your question.

Thanks,
