Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
extradiction
i have a misdemeanor in Tennessee and I am wanting to move to Texas for a few months to get away from a domestic situation. Does Texas extradite? What should I know or do to move legally? Thank you...I am trying to do this move quickly.

Re: extradiction
Save yourself a nightmare, million headaches, and tons of money, by taking care of the misdemeanor before you leave Tennessee. If you get community supervision, it might be unsupervised, or transferred to Texas. If that warrant is out there, and you get stopped for speeding, etc., you are going to jail, and be held until they sort out whether or not to extradite you. It is not worth it.
