Failure to Render aid-1st court date
I am going to court 7-20-09 as my first court date and I don't know what to expect. Can you help?

You need to hire a lawyer. If you cannot afford, the court will appoint a lawyer to you at this case setting.

You should hire an attorney. This is a serious charge. If there was a death or serious bodily injury, you could be facing a 3rd degree felony punishable by 2-10 years in prison and up to a $10k fine.
If there was not death or serious bodily injury, then you are looking at up to 5 years in prison and a $5k fine.
If there was no injury and only property damage, you are likely looking at a charge of Failure to Stop and Give Information, still a serious charge.
Take a look at Transportation Code Sections 550.021 and 550.022.
