Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

False Charges

My mother was arrested for shoplifting in Wal mart and openly admits to it. Now they are trying to charge her with robbing a cashier for $1500.00. This did not happen. She has witnesses, even the arresting officer has no record of any robbery. He explained to me that she was being arrested for shoplifting. I need legal advice.

Re: False Charges

what legal advice would you like? If your mother is being charged with a crime she did not commit, then you need to fight the charges!! If she cannot afford an attorney, then one will be appointed by the court.

Re: False Charges

Based on what you have written, it is not clear what legal advice you are seeking. If your mother has been charged with shoplifting and now the District Attorney is attempting to charge her with an additional charge, your mother should consider retaining a criminal defense firm to assist her. If my criminal defense firm can assist you or your mother with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a consultation.
