Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Falsely accused of child molestation

My friend, a single white 63 year-old man has been falsely accused of child molestation by a 14 year-old girl in his care. She claimed to her therapist he touched her inappropriately the day after he refused to let her go to a party in accordance with her mother's wishes. He went in for a polygraph four days ago and then was unexpectedly arrested. His bail has been set at 100K, an impossible amount for anyone he knows to produce. My question is how can we, his friends and former family by marriage, get him out of jail while this gets to trial?

If you truly want to help him, hire a lawyer for him -- if he is going to successfully fight this charge, then he needs a good lawyer. One of the things he will do is file a Motion to Reduce Bail -- which can be supported by his friends and family willing to testify on his behalf.
