Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Falsly accused of keying a car

I have had a warrant served for Criminal Mischief. I recieved the letter this weekend. I have been accused of keying a car in a Walmart parking lot. I've been told that the security video shows me walking by the car. Also, the owner id'd me as a person she made mad and when she came out, her car was keyed. I am not that person and I did not do this but am very afraid because if I was by her car that I will be found guilty for something I didn't do. I am a 62 year old woman who has never done anything illegal short of a few speeding tickets years ago. What can I expect? It says the bond is $1500. Will I go to jail? I am very fearful right now.

Hire a lawyer today. The lawyer will arrange the bond so that you are in and out fairly quickly. The lawyer will also review the file to determine the extent of evidence against you, to determine your best course of action.
