Hello there,

I wish there was an automatic provision that clears this from your record once you are found not guilty but that law hasn't been passed yet.

So, you need to hire an attorney to get this matter expunged. This shouldn't cost you more than $1,500.00.

You can shop around by calling attorneys but make sure the one you hire has a good reputation and is not somone that just rips people off.

Sincerely,

If you are acquitted of criminal charges in Texas you are eligible for an expungement. Contact a criminal defense lawyer in the county in which the case occurred. The lawyer can give you better information about expunging your record and the fees involved.
