Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I had a felony charge, served probation and the judge set aside the conviction and dismissed the indictment and I was "released from all penalties and disabilities resulting from the judgment of conviction". Will the arrest still show up on my background check? I am going for a job interview with a position that happens to be overseen by the police dept. and they do an extensive background check. I know my jacket is empty because I have checked. But I am unsure if the arrest will still show up and what I should do?? This happened in the state of Texas but the job is in another state.

The arrest most likely will show up, at least in Texas. I dont know about the other state, it really depends on how frequently they update their databases and how thorough they are. It sounds like you had a deferred adjudication. You should look into filing a petition for non-disclosure to see if you can get your record sealed.
