Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Felony Escape

My feance was in a halfway house in beaumont texas. He was picked up by the federal Marshals for being over 2 hours late getting back to the halfway house. His release date from FBOP is June 2,2008. What is he looking at as far as charges and time. Can they charge him with escape if he returned back to the facility. Is he looking at more time on top of the time he is doing for a drug charge.

Re: Felony Escape

IF he some viable reason for being late it is worth his while to contest the charges. If he doesn't have a viable reason, and has disposable income, then he should hire a lawyer to negotiate the results here. If he is in custody (even constructive custody) and violates, then yes they can charge him.
