Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Felony
Situation: A person was convicted of a felony charge (drug Posession)in 1997 in Ohio but now living in Texas.
What is the law regarding potential employers and land lords asking if you have ever been convicted of a felony?
Is their a time limit that you have to admit guilt to the charge for example 7 years is the limit? My brother is trying to get on his feet and is declined jobs and apartments. They are asking if its been within ten years.
Thank you for yuur reply.
