Felony Theft by misdirection of company funds / Embezzlement
What are the possible legal ramifications and consequences when an employee reverses credit card charges resulting in personal gain into a personal Visa/bank debit account?
At this juncture, the account is under "review" by the bank and all funds are being held. The account is to be closed due to unauthorized deposits into the account per the bank where the employee has the account.

Depending upon the amount of money involved, the criminal charges could range from grand larceny to fraud to electronic theft to embezzlement.
It is clearly theft of funds, and potential jail exposure together with fines and court costs, depending upon the prior criminal history of the thief.
