Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I am finishing a 5 year probation on January 24 , 2011 in Rockwall county , however , I have been in jail since December 14 , 2010 on a violation charge , because I have a pending charge in Dallas County . I haven't been convicted in the Dallas case but Rockwall county wants to keep me until the 25th to appear in court for an announcement ??? Can Rockwall county keep me in jail after the 24th if I have completed all the requirements and fees to fulfill all the terms of my probation ???

You have not completed all the requirements of probation - you picked up a new case so they can and obviously plan to file a motion to adjudicate your probation. If you have any technicals, they will use those. They can also use your new case even though you have not been convicted - it is a lesser burden of proof. As long as the file the motino to adjudicate your probation before January 24, then they can pursue it. So close but yet now so far away.
