Keith Engelke Law Office of S. Keith Engelke

You will need a new one. The fired lawyer will file a motion to withdraw with the court. If the lawyer was court appointed, the court should appoint you a new attorney.

If the lawyer was not court appointed, the court should give you time to hire a new attorney. If you have already found a replacement lawyer. who was not court appointed, the replacement lawyer can file a motion with the court to release the prior lawyer and replace him with the new lawyer.
