Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
If you have been found guilty on a lesser charge of assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced to five years, and then released on an appeal bond, does the time that you are out on the appeal bond count toward your sentence?

No - you are not in custody therefore you do not get credit for the time.
