Can someone be charged for a public deffender, even if they are unable to pay? This is Gregg Co. Texas

yes. What happens is that you have to pay back the county for court costs that includes fees for the public defender. However, if your case is dismissed or you are found not guilty then you don't have to pay back the attorney fees.
