Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I have a friend that is currently incarcerated. One of his convictions were murder. I full heartedly believe he did not do it. I have the transcipts from his trails and they contridict them selves numerous times. One example is that the witnesses at the crime scene stated that the man who shot the other man had no facial hair, but the friend I am speaking of did however get arrested the following morning after the murder occured and he had a full mustache and goatee. I have known this man since his birth and I do not believe this man could ever kill another person. My question is," Is there anyone out there who would be interested in reviewing the transcripts. If there is anyone out there that would be interested in helping this innocent man please contact myself at [email protected] or his sister at [email protected]. We do not have a lot of money but what we do have we will be more than willing to give you for your help. We will also be willing if possible to make monthly payments for your fees.

If he does not have any money, it is likely the courts would appoint an attorney to handle an appeal.

As far as hoping to get someone to review the transcripts because there were conflicts between stories, that will not be enough. Those are fact issues that are determined at trial, not on appeal. An appellate court will not reverse a case simply because there are conflicting statements by witnesses.

You have a huge uphill battle ahead of you.

If you are trying to get an attorney to simply review the transcripts for free, you should start with the local bar association. Then i would call attorneys and see if you can find someone to review them.
