Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I have a friend who lives in Dallas TX. He is being charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle and has no priors. Earlier that day he had slipped on some ice and fell, which resulted in a head injury and two fractured wrists. On the day of the arrest he was very busy and kept putting off going to the hospital for treatment. Closer to the time of the arrest he had told me he was feeling dizzy and it wasn't until after the arrest he was made aware his wrists had been fractured. He was only blocks from his home when he was pulled over for a supposed traffic violation. He told the arresting officer he had injured his head earlier that day and wanted to go home. It is completely out of character for my friend to evade arrest at all much less in a car. My question is could a head injury (concussion) be used as a form of legal defense in my friends case?

No, not the kind of head injury he is complaining about. Try not to make the judge or prosecutors laugh with this excuse.
