Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
A friend of mine and I egged a car as a joke and it ended up damaging the paint so now we are being charged with a felony and having to pay to get it reprinted. But, I've heard from multiple people that the girl who's car it was is bragging about how she's ripping us off because we're having to pay a lot more then what it should actually cost. How do I find out if the amount is actually accurate and if I can prove it, what is going to happen?

The burden of proving the amount of damages isn't yours; it's the victim's.
And by the way ... you don't get into this kind of trouble unless you're doing something that's just plain STUPID. Stop doing stupid things.
