Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
A friend that I posted bail for, recently had his case dismissed after months of resets. Is the case closed? How long will it take fort he case to be closed and my name to be removed off the bond? Will I receive any of the money back that I put down? Do I need to contact them to make sure that my name is released off the bond? I need to know what I should do.

Did you post a cash bond or pay a bondsman?
If you paid a bondsman, the bondsman will have the judgment of dismissal, and provide you with a release.
If you posted a cash bond, contact the court clerk and get a copy of the dismissal, and together with your receipt, the clerk will refund your bond.
