Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
A friend and I rents different apartments. We both lost our jobs recently and are on unemployment. We want to share an apartment to cut expenses. She lives in Texas where it's cheaper. To upgrade to a two bedroom in her complex, she needs to show two recent pay stubs which she doesn't have. She wants to make up phoney stubs on a computer and have a friend say she works for him to satisfy the requirements to upgrade. What are the consequences if she is cought?

At the very least, she could get evicted. It is a felony to forge a document.
Perhaps you should share the apartment she has and upgrade when she gets a job.
