Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My friend was on 2yr probation as a juvenile and failed to register as a sex offender but at the time of sentencing a parent/guardian was not there when paperwork was signed. He didnt report now he is back in custody no new charges and has been given a sentence of 1yr state jail time. Is it too late to file 1244-A motion or would it be beneficial to even file the motion for reduction?

If he has already signed for time, it is too late to file for a reduction from state jail time to county jail time.
