Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I have a frind in jail for evading arrest and on his docket sheet it says: Motion to Substitue With Unsigned Order. what does that mean?

It probably means that a lawyer filed a motion to substitute in on the case in place of another lawyer but that the order on the motion has not yet been signed by the judge (so the motion has not yet been granted.)

It appears from what you describe one lawyer is substituting in for another lawyer, but the Judge has not signed the order.
