Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Fugitive from justice
I need to know what determines wether a person is a fugitive from justice. If a person hears that there may be a warrant for his/her arrest from a friend, and this person stays out of state for a period of time, will the law consider this person a fugitive? This question is based on the fact that the so-called defendant has never been officially notified that there is an arrest warrant.

Re: Fugitive from justice
The person who is the subject of a valid warrant becomes a fugitive upon issuance of the warrant, whether or not s/he knows about the warrant.
It is best to contact a competent criminal lawyer and make arrangements to deal with the warrant. It will never be easier.
