Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Don't want to give it back
If someone hands some jewely to me and says check it out and let them know if I want it to buy or trade and I decide to keep it,
can I keep it weather they ask for it back or not and then they send me a letter
of demand for it's return, ...They gave it to me and now I have it in my posession and want to keep it.
To bad they gave it to me.
I told them not to contact me, that should do it.

Re: Don't want to give it back
If you keep it without an agreement as to a purchase price or trade item, then you are probably facing criminal charges.
You were in a type of fiduciary relationship -- it was not given to you as an owner, but to determine if you wished to purchase it.
Your next contact could be from the police.
