Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Graffitti
My brother is 15 years old and was arrested for graffiti, he is a good kid with good school recordds, will this be on his record forever or can his record be sealed at 18? Will it cost to seal his record and how much?

Re: Graffitti
It is a better idea to get him a good lawyer now. Sometimes a kid that is otherwise doing well, will qualify for diversion -- and then there will be no juvenile court record. If it doesn't qualify, the attorney can negotiate the best deal for him (and review the file to determine if the case is solid or weak). As for the cost of sealing his records, it will be best to ask the question if and when the need arises.
