Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Grand Jury Indictment-was given counterfit checks

My relative has been in the real estate business for 7 yrs, he located a profile of properties for an investor(all done by phone and mail) the investor sent my relative 3 chks totalling 1+ mill. to deposit and use to purchase the property investment. My relative took the chks to the bank they were drawn on to verify the funds and when verified to re-issue the funds in the form of cashiers chks so he could take them to his bank. The teller gave him a cashiers chk for 300,000 and said to come back the next business day and they would verify the other 2 checks,he took the one chk to his bank, deposited it(didn't cash)and returned to other bank the next day. the clerk asked him to have a seat, a few min later the police arrested him, said the checks were WHITE WASHED, he served 45 days, lost his business, house, vehicle, wife&child, has no $$ for an atty, living on the streets, and is told he doesn't qualify for Court App. Atty and keep giving him more time to find an atty. If he was a crook he would have took the money and ran, the people behind the scenes need to be caught, TX has no interest in fighting the real crime a''BANK FRAUD RING'',PLEASE HELP MY INNOCENT RELATIVE!Thanks in advance!
