what is grand theft
if a person unwilling pawns property that was stolen and finds out later that it was, can that person be considered an accessory after the fact. also if they alert the place of business what transpired what will happen to them even if they cooperate

There is information in your question that is going to be difficult to prove. The person needs to discuss the details of the situation ONLY with a retained attorney, to determine what is the best course of action. Contacting the pawnshop is a bad plan.
