Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
guns
i went to then pen years ago.i was told that to be able to own or buy a gun i would have to be off parole 5 years.iv'e been off parole way longer than that.iv'e never been convicted of a violent crime or had any convictions involving a weapon.what forms would i have to file and where would i find them

Hello there,
First, you were given bad advice. If you have a felony conviction you cannot possess any firearms other than a black powder gun that complies with federal laws.
People can try and have their rights restored to possess a firearm but they are usually denied by the ATF.
