Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Harassment Case
I have a Class B Misdemeanor Harassment charge pending in a criminal court. I had called an ex-girlfriend that had been slandering me to several mutual acquaintences, to ask her to stop it. She proceeded to file a complaint and I was charged. I have an aggravated assault conviction about 9 years previous to this. There were never any threats made to her. What can I expect in this type of case?

Re: Harassment Case
Without more information, I can't really make a determination. A class B is a fine up to $2,000or up to 180 days in jail or both. The DA would probably plead it but again depends on the circumstances. If you're in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, please call me.
