Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Harrassment

I just found out that my husband has been having an affair. I have been calling and emailing his girlfriend and saying ugly things. I haven't threatened her life or anything. I've just told her to back off and get out of our lives, and I've called her a few ugly things. She's taped me and copied my emails and is meeting w/ a Homicide Detective and says she's pressing charges against me. My husband the jerk says it's a Felony and I'll be arrested. He also said he wouldn't bail me out. He is delighted that I'm going to be in trouble. Can she do that? Will I be arrested? Can she file charges against me? Isn't that something she can sleep with my husband and I'm the criminal because I have lashed out at her. Please advice me.

Re: Harrassment

The actual contents of their proof will determine if there is a criminal charge arising from this. Depending upon the content, it is more likely, if anything, to be a misdemeanor. Don't wait around to find out. Hire a lawyer to see if he/she can smooth this out without a criminal charge being filed, and to represent you if it is; and more importantly to file for divorce.
