hi,
i recently had my apartment forcefully broken into via a window. i had thousands of dollars worth of items stolen, about 3500 in total. i live in san antonio, texas. what is the maximum sentence that the burglar that did this could serve? is it a felony? thankyou!

Burglary of a habitation is a second degree felony. Theft of property valued between $1500 and $20000 is a state jail felony.
State Jail Felonies require a minimum of 180 days in a state jail and can be as long as 2 years
Second Degree felonies require a minimum of 2 years and a max of 20 years in Prison.
