Mam, you don't need a lawyer to represent you in the criminal matter, the elected District Attorney or County Attorney represents the victims of crime. You will get more information from them than your civil attorney will, but he or she already knows that and should have told you that already. But, if you have any questions about the criminal matter then you need to call the District Attorney's office or the County Attorney's office whichever one is the prosecutor in the case.

Typically, when you are a victim of a crime; the District Attorney (DA) or County Attorney (CA) will represent your interest against the defendant. You civil attorney should have already explained this to you. Additionally, your civil attorney should be getting you the information you require from the DA or CA. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
