Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My husband is in prison in Texas. He used an 11.07 Writ when he filed his first appeal back in 2000. He thinks he still has a 2nd 11.07 Writ he can file, but I was told that he only has one chance to file an 11.07 Writ. Which is correct?

One shot only unless there is newly discovered evidence of innocence that could not have been discovered when he filed his last writ. He wasted his opportunity.
