Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

My husband was released from prison a year ago, he was sent for burglary of a habitat. He is on parole ,He had warrants out in two counties and about a month ago was picked up for assault family violence. He plead guilty and got time served at one county. Now he has been moved and went to court they told him he had a parole violation and that's what was keeping him there. I can't get answers from anyone about when he might go before the parole board. I know it's up to them. I just want to know what's the best thing for him to do from this point and who would be able to give me answers to how long this stuff takes. I know ISF is a possible outcome but how long could he be there? I'm lost and confused and we have a baby on the way. I just want to be prepared for the worst and need answers. Don I need to get him a Lawyer or is it a waste of my time and money. Thanks too who ever responds.

People on parole who pick up new cases face revocation but the process is generally not held until after the new cases have been settled (by dismissal or a sentence.) Whether he will be revoked or get ISF (or nothing happen which is unlikely) depends on the underlying case facts (burglary), his compliance while on parole (besides the new cases), and the facts of the new cases.
