Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

My Husband Was Sick (?) We Lost Our Home (Texas), His Business Ect. Then He Went To Live With His Parents (Tennessee), I Went To My Home Town(Missouri)/Family. His Parents Forged My Signature To Have My Car/Title Put In Their Names. I Also Just Found Papers Stating That They Have Power Of Attorney Over Him. We Have Just Recently Reunited And Back In Texas.Do I Have Any Legal Avenues To Pursue On The Forging Of My Car Title? What Are The Consequences Of His Parents Having Legal Power Of Att. With Him? Where Do I Stand? I Want Out Asap Please.

You will have to ask the question with a Tennesse zip code because their action in forging your signature happened (presumably) in Tennesse and must be prosecuted there.

The fact that the parents have power of attorney over him does not give them a right to forge your name, although it might have an effect on the way the prosecutor / cop views their actions (like they are less culpable.)

You will have a civil lawsuit claim against them if they have taken your property without compensation but that would probably have to be pursued in Tennessee, too.
