Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My husband is in TDCJ on a murder charge that he plead out to ,30 years eligible for parole in 18 served 3 years . I want to hire a lawyer to reduce this he is fixing to 29 years old any advise we live in panhandle of Texas

There really is no reduction of the sentence. It takes the agreement of two of the following 3 elected officials: the judge, the DA, and / or the sheriff. The better way to go is to hire a parole lawyer to try to get him out on the first available parole (which will be 15 years because it is a 3g offense.)
