Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My husbands and I's home was broken into this last week. The culprits were caught; however, our door is now broken, our carpet is needing a cleaning, and our fence is also broken. What would be the best method of getting these payed for from the criminals?

You should contact the District Attorney's office and request that they attempt to recover restitution from the defendants for your damages. You could also sue them in civil court. I also believe there is a state crime vixtim compensation fund you might try to look into.
