Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Illegal Entry to My Property
We reside in a very small town. We called the Sheriff's Office on March 17,2005 and asked for permission to burn wood, brush, etc. We were given permission. On about March 24th the Fire Chief came onto my property without my permission and began taking pictures of various area including the inside of my storage shed. When we asked what he was doing he became indignant and left. Today we were given a ticket for $500 and told by the Constable that he stated we Illegally Dumped on our property (absurd)and that we ''gave him hell''. We were then threatened with jail by the Constable and the Fire Chief lied and said he had seen smoke from the fire (7 days later). This was a very small fire. Can he come on my property without my permission 7 days after the incident? This is not his first time to do these things. Thank you.

Re: Illegal Entry to My Property
My advice would to have an attorney advise you on how to file a complaint against this officer and contact the Texas Rangers to have the matter investigated.
