Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Illegal search and seizures
THe police raided my house presenting a search warrant with an itemized list for stolen merchandise. All stolen merchandise was recovered but during the search they found a controlled substance (meth less than one gram and confiscated it. Although the warrant did not list any controlled substances, would it be considered illegal search and siezure because they are trying to charge me with it now after taking it?

Re: Illegal search and seizures
Depends on the circumstances of the search and the discovery of the meth. I'd need a lot more details to make a decent call on this one. If you'd like to send more info to my private e-mail, please feel free to do so.
