Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Illegal search
Last week I was with some friends hanging out at one of thier houses. The cops showed up because a neighbor called about noise. Well, the front door was open when the showed up and they let themselves inside. They searched everyone at the house and I was arrested for illegal weapon for having a throwing star in my pocket. Was it legal for them to search me and everyone at the house?
