Illegal towing of personal auto from apartment complex

Can an aprtment owner have your personal vehicle towed

to a storage compound because your license plate is

out of date by 20 days? Owner was warned that car would be towed if inspection sticker was not renewed.

that was done and car was towed off 2 days later and

cost owner $110.00 to get back. Car was parked proper

and there were at least twelve (12) other vehicles in

complex with expired sticker and or lscense plates.

please info. Future Daughter in law total stressed out since car was missing in morning just before her

graduation.
