What exactly happens at a pre-indictment hearing

Hello there,

If someone is not indicted and they have a pre-indictment hearing it is most likely to make sure the defendant hasn't moved and can be located.

If it is a jail call the individual would be appointed an attorney if he couldn't afford one so the lawyer can get the individuals case sped up.
