Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
indictments
my boyfriend was arrested on oct. 14th 2005 they had a search and arrest warrant for drugs, how long can he be held in jail before he is indicted. he was also on parole. is there a statue of limitations on being indicted, he has been locked up for almost 7 months.why has he not been indicted yet ?

It sounds as if he is being held on a parole violation, not on the new charge.
Why doesn't he have a lawyer?
