Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
if an individual vandalizes your vehicle and you press charges when will you be compensated for damages. there are witnesses to the event. if it goes to court and judge finds defendant guilty when will the damage to the vehicle be paid for?

You will only get restitution for damages in a criminal case if the prosecutor makes that part of the plea bargain. If not, then you will have to file a civil suit to recover damages.
