Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Can an inmate get timed served for misdemeanor offenses that are in another state? He is incarcerated in Texas now and has 2 FTA's for traffic violations in GA.

It is up to the courts in Georgia. I would have him write to the court in which he has the FTA (& the traffic warrants) & simply ask them. If he can get proof of the start of his incarceration from TDCJ, then I would include that.
I know that if one is in a local jail for a criminal charge, generally the local traffic courts will give them credit for open warrants. But, that is here in Texas.
