Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I am under investigation for online impersonation. What can I expect? Do I need an attorney? My friend gave me her facebook and yahoo password. We got into an argument and I logged onto her facebookand posted comments like "I'm drunk and all I do is feel sorry for myself". This is considered a 3rd degree felony and I sent to emls from her yahoo account of the same nature. This is a misdemeanor. If charged is it likely they will reduce the charge to a state felony?

If you are charged with a criminal offense (and you are), you need to hire a lawyer to represent you. The level of charge could vary - and you've said both felony and misdemeanor. (A misdemeanor is less than a state jail felony.)

You lawyer may be able to work out the situation for an apology and dismissal depending you the facts and your friend. (You should NOT contact your friend; let your lawyer handle everything.)
