Hello, I would like to know if after the jury decision of pleaing guilty with certain evidence, can an appeal be summiting and how much time to i have for that. truck driver found with 1300 killos no criminal record at all never been in trouble. clean record. sentencing is on april 2011, is there something that could be done for him to get out of jail or minimun time in jail, like a probation.

I assume that he was found guilty by a jury in federal court and is awaiting sentencing by the judge. It is not likely he will get probation or a "minimum" sentence. Talk with his lawyer about the range of punishment and the likely sentence. The court will have a presentence investigation report it reviews that will contain information about the offense, any victims, and the defendant. The judge has a wide range of punishment s/he can assess.
