Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Juvenile Curfew Violation, now an adult
I received a curfew violation ticket at the age of 13. It has been almost six years, I'm about to turn 19, and the ticket has resurfaced after all this time. I have two warrants for my arrest; a warrant was issued for the curfew citation and another was issued for failure to appear.
All of this is in Flower Mound, TX.
What can I do? Between the two I owe $804. I can't go to jail, as that would doom me for this semester of college. I was told by the court clerk I can pay in full or go to jail.
I'm broke. I have absolutely no money and I need options, such as community service, negotiating fines with a judge, etc...

Hire an attorney to negotiate on your behalf. They should be able to work something out.
