Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
i had some kids doing burnouts in my ditch. the police said the easement ,20 feet from road , is their property and i can not file a damage to property or trespassing claim. is this true in texas

I don't know the details of the property law end of that, but I'd be inclined to say no. They may have the right to access the property where the easement is (park on the side of the road, walk beside it, etc.), but an easement is different than you not owning the property at all and would not give random people the right to damage the property.
